On Tuesday, Tilt, located at the 2700 block of West Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood was raided by the Los Angeles Organized Retail Crime Task Force.
The Sheriff’s Department revealed that the suspects were already under investigation for prior crimes and had previously sold stolen items to a store in Inglewood.
Task force investigators received descriptions of the suspects and began surveillance at the Inglewood store while awaiting a search warrant.
During their surveillance, a black BMW arrived, and three individuals matching the provided descriptions exited the vehicle carrying boxes of shoes and clothing, and then entered the store.
Following the suspects' entrance, investigators executed the search warrant and proceeded to make arrests.
In total, five individuals were apprehended: 42-year-old Aaron Israel of L.A., 36-year-old Trevian Holmes of Inglewood, along with 24-year-old Brian McKing, 21-year-old Jahiem Gillett, and 24-year-old Devontay Pinson, all from Los Angeles.
Israel may face charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm, Holmes for receiving stolen property, and McKing, Gillett, and Pinson for robbery.
During the search, officers recovered a firearm, an unspecified amount of cash, and various stolen items from local stores. The owners of these stolen goods have since been able to identify and reclaim their property.
